The first workshop for developing the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan in Țipala

On July 16, 2025, the first workshop within the process of drafting the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) was held in the meeting room of the Țipala Town Hall. The activity is part of the commitments undertaken by the commune of Țipala within the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy – a European initiative that promotes local actions for environmental protection and sustainable development.

Ciuntu Maria, a representative of the Local Youth Council of Țipala, also participated in the event, emphasizing the importance of youth involvement in decision-making processes concerning the community's future.

The Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy brings together local authorities from around the world, committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing energy efficiency, and developing renewable energy sources. In the Republic of Moldova, 63 localities are part of this network.

The workshop represents an important first step in developing the SECAP for the commune of Țipala and serves as an example of collaboration, civic responsibility, and community involvement, with the goal of building a greener and more sustainable future for all residents.
