New project for the Țipala community: street signs and a photo zone to connect with the diaspora.
The commune of Țipala is taking an important step toward modernization and community engagement, thanks to a grant of 8,998 USD won by the NGO Obiectiv as part of the UNDP Moldova project “Strengthening social cohesion through inclusive participation and engaged citizens,” funded by the Government of Switzerland and provided by the Alliance of Native Associations from Moldova (AABM).
The project titled “Street Signs – Efficient Navigation”, with a total budget of 12,421.83 USD, provides for:
- Installation of street signs on the main street of the locality – for better orientation and a more organized environment;
- Creating a heart-shaped photo zone in Youth Park – as a symbol of the connection between the commune's residents and the diaspora;
- The involvement of the community and of natives who have gone abroad in local development.
The total budget of the project is structured as follows:
- 8,998 USD – grant offered by AABM
- 2,040.53 USD – contribution of the Local Public Administration
- 1.383,30 USD – sumă ce urmează a fi colectată de la localnici și diaspora
This project is not just an investment in infrastructure, but also an exercise in civic engagement. It is an opportunity through which every citizen – from home or from abroad – can contribute to a clearer, more beautiful, and more united commune.
The organizers express their sincere thanks to the project team, the Țipala Communal Council for the support provided, the commune's mayor's office, and especially to AABM for mentorship, training, and continuous support.
